PM Narendra Modi welcomed Abu Dhabi Crown Prince in Delhi.

On his first official visit to India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Hyderabad House. The aim of the visit is to strengthen trade and technological connections between India and the United Arab Emirates. The crown prince will also meet President Droupadi Murmu and attend a business summit in Mumbai.

At Hyderabad House in New Delhi on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi. Following a warm embrace, the presidents had bilateral discussions with a focus on enhancing the strategic alliance between India and the United Arab Emirates.

According to the ministry of external affairs, Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s landing in New Delhi signified his first official visit to India. The union minister of trade and industry, Piyush Goyal, gave the Crown Prince a ceremonial greeting upon his arrival.

Following the discussions, the crown prince presented Mahatma Gandhi with flowers at Rajghat. He will meet President Droupadi Murmu, talk about bilateral cooperation with PM Modi, and take part in a business forum in Mumbai during his two-day visit on September 9–10.

In a press release, MEA also emphasized the historically respectful and close ties that exist between India and the UAE. “India and the United Arab Emirates have always had cordial relations. The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the United Arab Emirates and India has expanded in the last few years in a number of fields, such as trade, investment, politics, energy, connectivity, technology, education, and culture. According to the ministry, the Crown Prince’s visit will “further reinforce strong India-UAE bilateral relations and open avenues for partnership in new and emerging areas.”

Attending the conference were National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Hardeep Singh Puri (Petroleum and Natural Gas) and Piyush Goyal (Commerce and Industry), as well as other authorities.

PM Modi visited the UAE earlier this year in February, where he had talks on the bilateral relationship between India and the UAE with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. As a sign of both nations’ leadership in advancing regional connectivity, they observed the exchange of eight agreements and praised the Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of an intergovernmental framework between India and the UAE on the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEEC).

During his visit, PM Modi inaugurated the BAPS Mandir, Abu Dhabi’s first Hindu temple, and spoke to the Indian diaspora in an event called ‘Ahlan Modi’.
