It is  Founded in 1999 by Rupert Hoogewerf, a British accountant and researcher, the Hurun Report has gained prominence for its detailed analysis of wealth distribution, luxury consumption, and economic trends.

Gautam Adani at the age of 62, along with his family, replaces Mukesh Ambani to secure the top position on the list with a wealth of around Rs 11.6 lakh cr become the richest indian. According to the Hurun report, India produced a new billionaire every five days.

Anas Rahman Junaid, Founder and Chief Researcher, Hurun India said,”India is becoming the main source of wealth creation in Asia! India recorded a 29% growth in billionaires, hitting a record 334, while China saw a 25% fall in billionaires,”.

Gautam Adani, along with his family have net worth of Rs 11,60,000 crore, become the Richest Indian 2024, stated by Hurun Report.

With a net worth of Rs 10,14,700 crore, Mukesh Ambani moved up to the second position on the 2024 Hurun Rich List.

This year, HCL Technologies’ Shiv Nadar and family come in third with a collective worth of Rs 314,000 crore. Maker of vaccines Cyrus.

Fourth on the list is S Poonawalla & family net worth of Rs 289800 Cr,  Serum Institute of India.

In the Hurun Richest Indian List, on the Fifth position Sun Pharmaceutical Industries’ Dilip Shanghvi net worth of around Rs 249900 Cr.

Six people have stayed in the India Top 10 every year over the last five years. Gautam Adani and family top the list followed by Mukesh Ambani & family, Shiv Nadar, Cyrus S. Poonawalla & family, Gopichand Hinduja & family, and Radhakishan Damani & family.

Youngest Billionaire in India:

Kaivalya Vohra at the age of 21, of Zepto, a $5 billion quick commerce startup is the youngest person on the Hurun Richest Indian list for 2024.

Aadit Palicha, his co-founder, is the second-youngest person on the list at the age of 22.

Shahrukh Khan makes his debut in Hurun Rich list:

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, also known as the ‘King of the Indian Entertainment Industry,’ has made his debut on the 2024 Hurun India Rich List. At the age of 58, Shahrukh Khan wealth is estimated at a whopping Rs 7,300 crore, a milestone driven by his successful stakes in Kolkata Knight Riders and Red Chillies Entertainment.

The king khan of Bollywood is also the most followed person from the Rich List, with an impressive 44.1 million followers on Twitter, out of all other billionaires and celebrities on the list in terms of social media presence. Following closely is actor Hrithik Roshan, who ranks second among the rich list’s social media followers with 32.3 million
Twitter followers.

The increased worth of Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders assets enabled him to rank on the Hurun India Rich List for the first time. With seven new additions, the entertainment industry’s Hurun rich indian Listers added Rs 40,500 crores in only a single year.
