What is OTET?

The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET), conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, qualified applicants for recruitment as teachers of Classes I through VIII in government, private aided, and private unaided schools in Odisha. According to the official website, passing the OTET exam is a single need for becoming a teacher candidate. Only passing the test does not ensure a candidate’s appointment to a state school.

The OTET exam is open to candidates who have passed their Class XII or graduation with the required number of points. There are two papers in the Odisha Teaching Eligibility test: Category A (Paper 1) and Category B (Paper 2). On August 17, 2024, the Board of Secondary Education held the OTET 2024 exam at multiple exam centers with great success. For the purpose of quickly publishing the OTET Result 2024, officials are currently reviewing each candidate’s answer sheet.
