The Odisha government has announced guidelines for its Subhadra Yojana for Women. The rules also specified the documentation required to receive the benefits, a program that aims to offer financial assistance to economically weaker women in the state.
Subhadra Yojana Scheme guidelines Announced in odisha
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today announced guidelines for the Subhadra Yojana for Women, which is going to start on September 17, 2024. Detailed Guidline published by Child & Women Development, Odisha.Subhadra Yojana was introduced by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on May 12th, 2024 as it fulfills its promise to change the lives of women in Odissa State.
Eligibility for Subhadra Yojana
- Applicant should be a cirtizen of Odisha.
- Birth Date will be accepted according to the Date of Birth in Adhar card.
- Applicant age is should be 21, on 1st July 2024.
- The initiative will benefit all women of 1 crore aged 21 to 60.
- Each baneficiary will be paid of ₹50000 in next 5 years.
- ₹ 5000 will be given every year on Rakshi Parnima and International Women’s Day(March 8).
- Total expendable of ₹ 55825 crore.
- Women working as Anganwadi workers are also included in this scheme, providing them with additional support.
Ineligible for Subhadra Yojana
- Under the Subhadra program, women from wealthy families, government employees, and income tax payers will not be eligible.
- Women who receive Rs 1,500 or more per month or Rs 18,000 or more per year from any other government initiative would be restricted from the scheme.
The documentation needed to get the scheme’s benefits was also specified in the guidelines.
Document Required
- Mobile Number Linkage: The Aadhaar card should be linked with the applicant’s mobile number.
- Bank Account: Applicants must have an Aadhaar-enabled and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)-enabled bank account.
- Address Proof: Valid address proof is necessary to confirm the residential address of the applicant. This can include documents such as a voter ID card, driving license, or any other government-issued address proof.
- Residence Certificate: A residence certificate is required to verify that the applicant resides in the state of Odisha.
- Income Certificate: The income certificate identifies the annual income of the applicant, which is crucial for assessing the need for financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana.
- Ration Card: The ration card is required to apply for the Subhadra Yojana. It helps identify financially unstable individuals in the state, enabling the government to provide assistance to the poor.
- Passport Size Photo: Passport size photos are necessary to confirm the identification of the applicant.
Opening and Updating Bank Account: If the applicant does not have an Aadhaar-enabled and DBT-enabled bank account, they need to:Open a new bank account:
- Ensure the bank account is Aadhaar-enabled.
- Make the bank account DBT-enabled.
- Complete the e-KYC process.
The government will provide assistance in completing these points.
Subhadra Yojana Benefits
The beneficiaries will receive ₹ 10,000 in their bank accounts in two instalments in a year under the Subhadra Yojana scheme. The money will be credited to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and on International Women’s Day (March 8). They will get Rs 50,000 in five years under Subhadra Yojana.
A Subhadra Debit Card will also be issued to the beneficiaries. To encourage digital transactions, 100 beneficiaries with maximum digital transactions will be identified in each gram panchayat and urban local body and an additional incentive of Rs 500 will be given to each of them. This support should enable them to meet different requirements such as purchasing rations, education, and health facilities thus enhancing their general standard of life.
How to Apply Subhadra Yojana ?
Women can apply for benefits under this scheme by filling up forms that are accessible for free at Anganwadi centers, Block offices, Mo Seva Kendras, and Jan Seva Kendra. A call center will also be setup for the scheme.
