Yogi Adityanath said while addressing a gathering in Agra,”You are seeing what is happening in Bangladesh. Those mistakes should not be repeated here… “batenge to katenge, ek rahenge to nek rahenge.”
Yogi Adityanath
Yogi Adityanath (born Ajay Mohan Singh Bisht; 5 June 1972) is an Indian Hindu monk and politician, belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party who has been serving as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh since 19 March 2017. He is the longest serving chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, being in office for 7 years, and the only UP chief minister to have two consecutive terms.
He left his home around the 1990s to join the Ayodhya Ram temple movement. Around that time, he also became a disciple of Mahant Avaidyanath, the chief of the Gorakhnath Math. Mahant Avaidyanath was leading the Ayodhya Ram temple movement at that time. While based in Gorakhpur after his initiation, Adityanath has often visited his ancestral village, establishing a school there in 1998.
Yogi Adityanath, addressing “Batenge to katenge” 2024
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, evoking the example of neighboring Bangladesh, has made a strong debate for national unity, stating, “Batenge toh katenge (If we are divided, we will be destroyed).” he concluded, ” The nation, will be empowered only when we remain united.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s encouragement to Hindus, “Batenge toh Katenge”, is shamelessly harsh. It is also unfiltered, having been made against the background of diplomatic tensions caused by an atrocity against Hindus in Bangladesh. However, those who have previously heard him speak would know that he is not one for diplomatic niceties. In Dhaka, his words will cause the authorities to shrink into an embarrassed quiet. Especially because the UP CM’s words coincide with the release of an Islamist terrorist in Bangladesh who, to put it mildly, is opposed to India and Hindus.
But Yogi Adityanath’s statements also led to a royal controversy here in India. Predictably, the Opposition, which takes pleasure in its self-described secular-liberalism, has reacted. Yogi Adityanath, according to its big guns, has been accused of polarization, of using his position to spread a message of division meant to heighten Hindu anxieties, and of painting Muslims as aggressors in order to win over more Hindu voters.
Yogi Adityanath,The Chief Minister said at a rally in Agra today, “Nothing can be above the nation. And the nation will be empowered only when we are united”.
while addressing people after unveiling a statue at Agra, Yogi Adityanath said “You have seen what happening in Bangladesh. Those blunders must not be repeated here… batenge to katenge, ek rahenge to nek rahenge,”
Yesterday, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accused the Opposition of playing divisive politics, alleging that they are more concerned with the vote bank than the situation of Hindus in Bangladesh, after Sheikh Hasina’s resignation as Prime Minister and left the country.
Yogi Adityanath said.”While the opposition is quick to speak out on global issues, it has remained conspicuously silent about the persecution of Hindus and the demolition of temples in Bangladesh. They see Palestine but turn a blind eye to Bangladesh because of fears of losing their vote bank,”
Yogi Adityanath added in his speech. “We will work for unity. We will not allow anyone any scope of spreading divisiveness in society, be it in the name of case, region, language, or an any other ground. We should be wary of such people and we should do our duty as citizens,”
